Child Abuse Prevention Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month are not just observances on the calendar; they represent a commitment to creating safe and supportive communities for all individuals.

Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center (HCWC) and other similar organizations play a pivotal role in spreading awareness and providing trauma informed, free and confidential services to those in our communities that have experienced violence and abuse.

Grounded in core values compassion, inclusivity, client-centered, integrity, excellence, and empowerment, we strive to lead others in efforts to address child abuse and sexual assault. At HCWC our core values guide our work throughout the year and not just during awareness months.

Compassion:

At the heart of HCWC’s mission is compassion for survivors of abuse and assault. The dedicated staff and volunteers provide a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported. During awareness months, HCWC amplifies messages of compassion, reminding communities of the importance of empathy and understanding in supporting survivors and preventing further harm.
