April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence. Though these conversations are important to have year-round, April gives us the opportunity to shine a light on sexual violence and learn ways to stop violence before it starts.

Here are two easy ways to get started with Sexual Assault Awareness Month!

  • Wear Teal on Tuesday April 4th to raise awareness about sexual violence and how to prevent it. If you post photos of you or your group on social media wearing teal, tag HCWC or Stop the Hurt!
  • Fill out the I Wear Teal Because signs included in the toolkit to share how you support survivors. Hang your sign in your office, on your door, or share it on social media.
