October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a nationwide effort to bring awareness to domestic violence and how it affects all of us. This toolkit includes activities for community members of all ages to raise awareness and create safe homes and communities for everyone.

Here are two easy ways to get started with Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

  • Wear Purple on Thursday, October 19th to raise awareness about domestic violence and show support for survivors. If you post photos of you or your group on social media wearing purple, tag HCWC or Stop the Hurt!
  • Fill out the I Wear Purple Because signs included in the toolkit to share with others why raising awareness about domestic violence is important. Hang your sign in your office, on your door, or share it on social media.
