February is Dating Violence Awareness Month, a national effort to raise awareness about the impacts of dating abuse and encourage communities to support teens and young adults in seeking healthy relationships. Though these conversations are important to have year-round, February gives us the opportunity to shine a light on dating abuse and inspire conversations about healthy relationships in order to stop violence before it starts.

Here are two easy ways to get started with Dating Violence Awareness Month!

  • Wear Orange on Tuesday, February 6th to raise awareness about dating violence and promote healthy relationships. If you post photos of you or your group on social media wearing teal, tag HCWC or Stop the Hurt!
  • Fill out the I Wear Orange Because signs included in the toolkit to share with others why raising awareness about dating violence is important. Hang your sign in your office, on your door, or share it on social media.
